Joslin (Eliot P.) begins treating diabetes patients.

He treats patients initially in an office in his parents home at 517 Beacon Street then moves to his own newly-built home at 81 Bay State Road in 1905.* He becomes the first doctor in the U.S. to specialize in the treatment of diabetes in 1911.
